In June 2025, I was contacted by Vistar Media NYC via my freelance portfolio on Upwork.com for some headshot photography. Vistar Media wanted to gift their media client, Publicis Media, a photshoot for all of their staff as a different way to give back than just throwing them a party.
Vistar Media explained that Publicis Media was having an in house conference day for all of their staff and they wanted to try to take staff shots of all 200 employees in one go.
I was already travelling to the US for other work, so it worked out well that I would be in NY anyway and could ask for help from some friends in NYC.
So I organised a 2nd photographer, and we set up in a conference room, with A and B stations and a new person to photograph every 3 to 4 minutes.
We organised timecoded photos to be matched to a spreadsheet of who was coming down for their photos at specific times, and made the logistics of sending everybody their photos very simple through an online digital gallery.
One of the most logistically complex set of headshots I have had to do, but both clients were really happy with the results and 200 people got some fresh new headshots!
