Event Photography Services In Queenstown & Across New Zealand

I provide professional event photography in Queenstown and across New Zealand for conferences, community events, brand activations, and corporate functions.

Whether you need discreet coverage or dynamic highlights, I deliver images that are clean, candid, and on-brand.

An initial phone call or meeting will help me understand more about what you want to achieve in our time together.

It is important to make sure we have a plan going into our photoshoot so we can maximise our time together.

Photo and video shoots can be done on location, anywhere around the country. I can come to you or we can find a place that suits.

I am happy to work solo at events, or work in with your team if needed.

Images are edited using Lightroom, colour grading to specific needs and resized based on what your plans are with the images.  Depending on the setup of your event, I can either bring my editing equipment and edit on site to deliver rush images and content in time for other parts of your event…or I can edit once the event is finished and get the images to you in a timely manner.

All Images can be delivered quickly online via cloud sharing platforms like Google Drive or Dropbox.

How my event photography process works

I provide event photography in Queenstown and throughout New Zealand.  Anything from conferences, corporate functions, awards nights, gala dinners, brand activations and festivals.

I cover anything from a small half day function to multi-day conferences, edited images are delivered by online gallery within 7-14 business days, and same-day edits are available when your team needs images live during the event.

No two events run the same way, so I don’t follow to a fixed format. Every brief starts with what the images are actually for (a media release, internal comms, next year’s campaign etc) and the shooting plan gets built backwards from that.

But I do strive to make the client experience as seamless as possible, while being sure to maintain the highest quality of customer service.  So as part of the process in working together, I will work to understand your event needs and adapt my services to suit your needs.  Read on to find out more.

Event photography add-ons: video, prints and same-day edits

Want to elevate your event experience?  I offer supplementary services to help strengthen the event experience.  Whether you want video taken of your event in some way, if you want prints organised for attendees, if you need same day edits or if you want an extra photographer there as a second shooter. All options are available for purchase either as an add-on, or separate service.

Video can be an added option for your event.  Depending on your deliverables and needs, I would either team up with a videographer if you wanted a whole event recap, or I could shoot clips and edit together a simple video meant for social media/website marketing.  We can discuss options together in our initial strategy session.

If you are interested in getting prints from our event photoshoot together, I can organise an online gallery for you, your team, and your event attendees to purchase from directly.  Print costs will vary depending on desired prints.

Depending on the size and scale of your event, I can provide same day edits, with a key selection of images edited and delivered in between the daytime activities and nighttime dinner galas, for example.  This is quoted as a separate fee and depends on the expected amount of images needed each day.

If your event is comprehensive and you feel you could benefit from having a second shooter (photo or video), we can organise one at a cost of $750 + gst per second shooter.

Event Photography In Queenstown - Common Questions

How much does event photography cost in Queenstown?

Event coverage starts at $1,249 for a half-day function and $2,490 for a full day. Multi-day conferences are quoted per event. Pricing covers shooting, editing and delivery of a full gallery of high-resolution images with commercial usage rights included. Added costs may include Gear Fees (cameras, flashes/lighting, audio equipment, tripods etc), rush fees, second shooters and more.

Travel beyond the Wakatipu Basin is quoted separately at current IRD Tier 1 rate.

A full edited gallery is delivered within 7-14 business days of the event. For conferences and media-facing events, I can deliver a first selection of 25-50 hero images within 24 hours, and I offer on-site editing so your comms team can post while the event is still running (for an added fee).

Yes. On-site editing is a standard add-on: I cull and colour-grade between sessions and drop finished images into a shared folder throughout the day. This is the usual setup for conferences, awards nights and activations where social or media deadlines land before the event ends.

Yes.  I cover events across the South Island and nationwide, including Wanaka, Arrowtown, Cromwell, Te Anau and Fiordland, Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland. Queenstown and the Wakatipu Basin carry no travel fee. Anything further is quoted with travel and accommodation shown as a separate line so there are no surprises.

Expect roughly 20 – 25 fully edited images per hour of coverage, though the number changes with each event.  A conference with breakouts and incentive adventures produces more usable frames than a seated dinner. Every image is individually colour-graded in Lightroom, and you receive them at full resolution plus web-sized versions.

Yes. Multi-day conference coverage can include anything from keynote and breakout sessions, incentive adventures, delegate and networking candids, sponsor and signage detail shots, and headshots on request. I work to a running sheet built with your event manager beforehand so nothing on the programme gets missed.

Yes. I can run video alongside stills.  I can produce short social clips edited in-house, or full event recap films produced with a videographer partner when the brief calls for a second operator. Video is quoted as an add-on and planned in the strategy session so it doesn’t compromise the stills coverage.

Queenstown’s conference and incentive season books out early.  For events between November and February, four to six weeks’ notice is safest. That said, I hold short-notice availability where I can, so it’s always worth asking about a date inside two weeks.
